Yes you can probably bolt the 5-speed auto tranny from the Camry to the Scion's engine but you will have to swap the ECU from the Camry as well as the Scion ECU is not designed for a 5-speed auto, just the 4-speed. If you have, then it's a good idea to disconnect the battery negative, wait a minute or so, and then reconnect to force the ECU to relearn the engine behavior. Any changes (intake, etc) result in a relearn situation. Overall, the body is holding up well for a 9 year old vehicle and my xB is extremely clean. However, I have noticed some slight surface rust forming on the passenger side rear rocker panel towards the bottom of the wheel opening and along the pinch welds.
